Medical Spanish Terminology Course!

​

Our Medical Spanish Terminology Course is a medical Spanish course designed for healthcare professionals in Boston who are already proficient in Spanish.  This program helps students grow their medical terminology while refining their conversational skills.

Schedule: February 2, 2017 - March 2, 2017; Thursdays from 6:00 - 8:00 pm

                  March 7, 2017 - April 4, 2017; Tuesdays from 6:00 - 8:00 pm

                  March 8, 2017 - April 5, 2017; Wednesdays from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Location: 90 Canal Street, 4th Floor, Boston, MA 02114

Pricing: $225 for 5 two-hour sessions. Includes registration, tuition, and materials.

Our instruction offers: 

  • Customized lessons to fit different professional needs from Spanish for physical therapists to denists to internists
​
  • Evening hours for busy professionals
  • Targeted review of critical grammar structures for healthcare settings

  • Over 600 terms and concepts introduced, practiced, and incorporated into class activities

Course goals:
     -Practice and refine ability to communicate and express oneself in Spanish
      -Learn medical terminology and phrases within the context of patient-provider interactions
      -Explore relevant colloquial and formal terminology and phrases within different
        regional variations of Spanish

Each class will:
     -Provide real-world role-playing scenarios, drills, games, and other activities
     -Introduce and practice healthcare-related terminology related to intake, diagnostics
       surgical and non-surgical interventions, treatment regimens, and recovery.
     -Target advanced grammar and communicative structures, including regional variations
     -Provide students with vocabulary lists, targeted homeworks, and cumulative reviews
