MEDICAL Spanish workshops

HEALTHCARE SPECIALISTS
Intensive medical Spanish courses highly targeted for specific healthcare fields.
Geared towards healthcare specialists, these medical Spanish courses include 5 hours of live online instruction and 5 hours of guided independent work. These intensive Spanish workshops build on existing Spanish language proficiency and focus on targeted use of the Spanish language to communicate with patients in specific fields. These workshops compliment our Online Medical Spanish Courses, which build Spanish skills to navigate broader healthcare settings. Certificates of Completion received after successfully completing the workshop.

Spanish for Prenatal, Birth, and Postpartum Care
Dates: April 26 and May 3, 2026

Time: 9:00-11:30am
Audience: All healthcare professionals working in prenatal, birth, and postpartum care and labor and delivery healthcare
Communicative Focus: Prenatal, labor, postpartum healthcare delivery
Language Topics: Mix
Language Levels: Intermediate to advanced Spanish speakers.
Placement Test: Required

Spanish for Addiction Medicine
Dates: December 7 and 14, 2025
April 26 and May 3, 2026
December 6 and 13, 2026
Audience: All healthcare professionals and social workers working in addiction medicine and/or with individuals potentially suffering from substance use disorders
Communicative Focus: Risk factors, effects of different substances, signs and symptoms, screening and diagnosis, treatment and resources
Language Topics: Mix
Language Levels: High beginner to advanced Spanish speakers
Placement Test: Required

Spanish for Community Outreach: Screenings
Dates: November 8 and 15, 2026​
Audience: All community healthcare professionals providing screenings related to blood pressure, diabetes, vision and eye health, STIs, and/or vaccines
Communicative Focus: Outreach, directing patients, screenings, health education
Language Topics: Present simple, future simple, commands
Language Levels: High beginner to advanced Spanish speakers
